Sets, maintains, and issues gauges, tools, and measuring instruments for use by manufacturing and to inspect in-process and final machined parts. Forecasts, requests, processes, issues, stocks, and turns-in special tools for aircraft and AGSE. Uses the Tool Room Management System (TRMS) to manage all tools. Ensures that items requiring calibration are enrolled in a comprehensive calibration program in accordance with Army Regulations, DA Pamphlets, Training Bulletins, and Technical Circulars. Manages the Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) system and coordinates the calibration schedule with the local TMDE facility. Notifies the Lead Tool and Parts Attendant of any delays in performance. Maintains accountability of all items tracked within TMRS. Work involves working shifts (day shift, mid-shift, and late shift). Work is completed in an Aviation Hangar at West Fort Cavazos.
