The Transportation Driver 2 performs delivery duties using a motor vehicle to distribute materials within the health system. Prepares supplies, equipment, and special parcels for delivery. Occasionally, this position prioritizes tasks for the driving team while working without direct supervision. This ensures proper distribution of STAT and non-STAT materials and equipment to North, South, and Central regions within the healthcare system. Essential Functions of the Role. Ensures correct staging of merchandise for delivery. Supplies and packages are securely prepared. Correctly labels totes, boxes, or pallets. Ensures correct shipping documents accompany orders. Verifies count and condition of products. Reports overages, shortages, and damage as required. May help in picking, wrapping, and stacking products on pallets. Loads trucks safely; ensures proper weight distribution, secures all items for travel, and ensures load meets all government regulations.
