WHO WE ARE Canyon Creek Behavioral Health (a Univeral Health Services facility): Canyon Creek Behavioral is open and serving the behavioral health needs of adolescents and adults in Temple, Texas and all surrounding areas of Central Texas. Our behavioral health center will provide treatment options for individuals struggling with psychiatric health, chemical dependency and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. Canyon Creek will be a 102-bed facility providing inpatient and outpatient treatment, as well as Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Inpatient treatment is a form of acute hospitalization for individuals facing a psychiatric crisis. Outpatient care is provided in a less restrictive treatment environment. Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) can be an effective treatment method for patients with severe, treatment-resistant depression.
