Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Wears safety equipment (paint suit and mask).
- Check travelers for paint codes to set up paint color.
- Inspect cylinders for bb's and cleanliness.
- Make sure cylinders are prepped correctly with masking.
- Starts and observes mix operation to detect malfunctions and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
- Apply paint or primer to correct mil thickness.
- Examines paint for finish and other contamination.
- Mix paint as needed.
- Pushes painted articles to and from drying oven on manual line only.
- Clean paint equipment.
- Clean area before leaving for the day.
- Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others.
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least six months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrate math proficiency as it relates to job including counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Uses the following equipment: half faced mask, dust mask, full Tyvek suit with air filtration system, Tyvek lab coat, full face mask with cartridge, latex gloves, goggles.
