The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining areas by washing dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, and ensuring a clean environment. The Dishwasher also assists kitchen staff by keeping the dish washing area organized and stocked with clean tools.
Dish washing: Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using a dishwasher or by hand as needed.
Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, floors, and kitchen workspace by sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
Waste Management: Properly dispose of garbage and recycling materials, ensuring cleanliness in waste areas.
Restocking: Assist in restocking clean plates, glasses, silverware, and other necessary items for kitchen and dining use.
Equipment Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and ensure the cleanliness of dish washing equipment according to safety and health regulations.
Team Assistance: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks and any additional duties as needed to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and a willingness to take direction.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: Previous experience as a dishwasher or in food service is preferred but not required.
Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
