Title: Medical Dosimetrist II (Certified CMD)
Location: Killeen, Texas
Term: Permanent, Full-time

Responsibilities

• Review and verify physician prescriptions and treatment plans.
• Design patient-specific radiation treatment plans via computer/manual computation.
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and Therapists for safe and accurate plan execution.
• Generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations.
• Ensure QA procedures and radiation safety standards are followed.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
• Assist in research and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 3 years of Medical Dosimetry experience.
• Proficiency in multiple treatment planning systems.
• Hands-on experience in QA procedures (chart checks, treatment plan verification, machine QA).
• Strong understanding of radiation oncology principles and safety protocols.
• Ability to visualize and implement 3D treatment planning techniques.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an Accredited Program in Medical Dosimetry.
• Certification: Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by MDCB.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Medical Dosimetry (post-training).
• Licensure: Eligible to practice in Texas.
• Strong mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work with treatment planning computer systems.
• Standing for long durations (up to 8 hours).
• Lifting up to 40 lbs. to shoulder height.
• Visual acuity to interpret computer-based dose displays.
