Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Metals Manufacturing (Greenfield Project)

Job Summary:
Be part of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help build a cutting-edge, green field manufacturing facility dedicated to producing super alloys for high-performance industries such as aerospace, space, and defense. Initial responsibilities will include facility setup, equipment installation, and hands-on support during construction. As the facility transitions into production, you will play a key role in equipment commissioning, preventive and predictive maintenance, and troubleshooting in a metals manufacturing environment. This position demands solid mechanical aptitude and experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, and compression systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support facility setup and equipment installation during the construction phase.
  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on furnaces and metal processing machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns swiftly to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct inspections to verify optimal equipment performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Accurately document maintenance tasks, parts used, and time spent.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment-related challenges.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment while following all safety procedures.
  • Comply with company safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in on-call support or off-shift troubleshooting when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, and compressor systems.
  • Experience with CNC machinery, presses, lathes, or other metal fabrication equipment is a plus.
  • Welding and metal fabrication (MIG or TIG) experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Familiar with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or participate in on-call coverage as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Able to work in environments with heat, noise, and other industrial conditions (PPE provided).
  • Comfortable operating and working around heavy equipment.
