Material Handler Position

Spherion Staffing is currently seeking candidates for Material Handler positions at a premier manufacturing facility in Temple, Texas. This is an opportunity to join a stable, safety-focused environment. We are seeking reliable individuals who are committed to quality and safety standards.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking a consistent schedule with built-in overtime opportunities. Candidates must be available to work a rotating shift schedule. This schedule alternates between day and night shifts.

Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts (8:00 to 8:00).

Rotation Pattern: Two weeks on Day Shift, followed by two weeks on Night Shift.

Weekly Cycle: The "2-2-3" schedule results in a 36-hour work week followed by a 48-hour work week. Benefit: This schedule provides a three-day weekend every other week.

Responsibilities:

• Supply raw materials to machine operators to ensure continuous production.
• Move finished goods from production lines to designated warehouse staging areas.
• Adhere to all facility safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent hazards.
• Coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Skills:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor environment.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment (such as pallet jacks).

Education: High School

Experience: 1-4 years

Qualifications:

• Must be able and willing to work the required rotating schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Candidates must own and provide Steel Toed shoes/boots prior to the first day of training. This is a mandatory safety requirement for entry onto the production floor.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull materials as required by the job duties.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels (hearing protection provided).
