What You'll Do

As a Paint Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality finishes that meet our exacting standards.

• Wear required safety equipment, including paint suit and respirator
• Review travelers to confirm correct paint codes and setup
• Inspect cylinders for cleanliness, surface defects, and proper preparation
• Mask components correctly prior to painting
• Mix paint and operate paint equipment, monitoring for proper function
• Apply paint or primer to required mil thickness
• Inspect finished products for appearance, contamination, and quality
• Move painted cylinders to and from the drying oven (manual line)
• Clean paint equipment and maintain a clean work area
• Uphold the highest ethical standards for yourself and others
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, including counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
• Comfortable using required PPE, including:
  
  • Half-face and full-face masks
  • Dust masks and respirators
  • Tyvek suits and lab coats
  • Goggles and gloves

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing setting. While performing the duties of this role, employees may be exposed to:

• Loud noise levels
• Sharp edges
• Heat
• Rotating machinery
