Job Description:

Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am (3 shifts per week)

• Assembles and maintains physical patient charts from admission through discharge.

• Serves as a liaison between patients, families, staff, and medical personnel. Receives and directs patients and visitors, answers routine inquiries, and processes referrals and consults.

• Maintains unit census records, daily assignment sheets, and updates admissions, transfers, and discharges.

• Informs Nursing Supervisor of bed availability and facilitates patient flow.

• Manages downtime forms and chart packets, supports staff during downtime, and prepares forms for scanning.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• or GED

Work Experience:

• Previous experience in a medical setting and knowledge of medical terminology [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) [Preferred]
