Position Summary: As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you are responsible for the daily management of TADSS assets, including receiving, issuing, tracking, storing, and maintaining all government property within the Training Support Center (TSC) warehouse. You will execute precise inventory control, operate material handling equipment, and support all phases of work orders for equipment and training devices. Your diligence and attention to detail ensure soldiers and units receive accurate and timely logistics supporta critical role in Army readiness at Fort Hood.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These services are required to support unique efforts which may require:
Receive, issue, turn-in, and store TADSS property and equipment
Maintain continuous property accountability and update inventory systems
Conduct routine and annual physical inventories, report discrepancies
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
Prepare and maintain warehouse logs, usage reports, and sensitive item inventories
Safeguard all government property and report lost or damaged items per PWS
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
Support work orders and equipment requests for user units
Required Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or GED required
2+ years' experience in warehouse, supply, inventory, logistics, or related field preferred
Experience with government or military property/supply systems preferred
Familiarity with inventory tracking systems (e.g., GCSS-Army, TS-MATS) beneficial
Valid state driver's license; ability to operate/qualify on forklifts and material handling equipment as required
Ability to pass background check and sustain installation access
Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in a warehouse environment
U.S. Citizenship
Proficient English (written/verbal)
Professional, courteous, and able to interact with government staff
Timely, accurate documentation and reporting skills
All personnel must identify themselves appropriately as contractors
Ability to perform onsite work in office/warehouse environment
Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
Capable of working in standard climate-controlled and potentially non-climate-controlled settings
Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the IC is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The IC frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The IC must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
