Summary of Position
This job performs administrative support to designated programs within the Department of Health Sciences. The incumbent also assists students with registration and attends recruitment events.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Six years wage earning clerical experience or certification / successful completion of relevant trade school (30 college credits) and two years wage earning clerical experience or Associates Degree and one year wage earning clerical experience is required.
A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts is required with application for evaluation purposes.

Essential Functions- Interacts with students and assists with their registration and enrollment. Coordinates intake of registration documents and assists with advising students. Makes referrals and screens student transcripts and submits student forms.
- Provides administrative support to the designated program to include answering and screening telephone calls, assisting visitors, preparing correspondence and reports; coordinates and facilitates departmental committee activities; processing mail; serves as a contact for the designated programs, assist with preparation of the annual budget, submits purchase requisitions and budget transfer requests, serves as a notetaker for departmental meetings and submit facilities work orders,
- Attends recruitment events on and off campus and provides detailed departmental program information as requested;
- Assists new part-time employees with setting up phones, email addresses, and internet access;
- Provides administrative support to faculty to include preparing part-time teaching agreements, assisting with administrative add/drop and grade change forms; preparing RTA's and TEVs for faculty for all travel;
- Facilitates the preparation of departmental reports and forwards to the appropriate administrator;
- Maintains rosters for students to assist the Student Life Office and assists with record audits from state, regional, and national accreditors
- Coordinates with Risk Management and clinical sites for receipt of Proof of Insurance; works with the contracting office to keep all memoranda of agreement with clinical agencies current;
- Submits course schedules for DHS programs to the designated course schedulers.
- Performs other duties as required or approved by the Department Chair or Program Director.
