Job Details

CORE COMPETENCIES: Repairs and/or replaces all breaks in the irrigation system at City Parks. Repairs and/or replaces broken irrigation heads at City Parks. Installs new irrigation in areas where irrigation is to be added at City Parks. Provides hands on training of staff in the repair of irrigation systems and the maintenance of these systems. Assists the Supervisor with the review and analysis of operations. Assists the Supervisor with ordering equipment and projecting needs based on workloads. Provides reports to the Supervisor regarding workloads, trends, data analysis and work indicators. Maintains radio or other communication with the Supervisor. Operates heavy equipment, dump and haul trucks, small engine equipment, and hand tools essential to Parks maintenance. Secures work area at the end of the working day. Possesses and maintains a valid drivers license and complies with the City of Killeen driving policy. Performs other duties as assigned.
