The Heavy Equipment Mechanic, JLTV (aka JLTV Wheeled Mechanic 91 B) involves maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the operational readiness of wheeled vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment systems. Responsibilities. Conduct thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, including engines, transmissions, power train components, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components. Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles in optimal condition. Inspect, adjust, and test parts and systems to ensure functionality. Supervise and professionally develop subordinates. Handle maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting. Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety. Conduct on-the-job training. Qualifications. A minimum of 10 years maintenance experience in Mechanical Maintenance or a combination of Mechanical Maintenance and General Technical.
