This position is located in Texas. Answers phones and directs calls to the appropriate recipients. Schedules appointments efficiently and effectively. Enters accurate demographic and financial information and updates each visit. Verifies eligibility and identifies and uploads insurance information. Collects and sorts faxes, scans documents, and ensures all needed documents and authorizations are completed and signed. Checks that reappointments have been scheduled by clinical staff and calls patients to remind them of their upcoming visits. Responds professionally and effectively to questions from external sources (patients and health plan representatives) and internal sources (providers and clinic staff). Follows rules and regulations as described in the Employee Handbook and clinic procedures, as well as policies in the Rural Health Clinic Manual and Patient Care Policies.
