The Bookkeeper fulfills the mission of the church by assisting the Pastor regarding the fiscal matters of the church, maintaining the bookkeeping for the church, the columbarium and other activities, maintaining DIAL accounts, assisting in the preparation of the budget, compiling reports for the pastor and various committees, and advising the pastor concerning other financial matters. Provides support for the Finance Committee. This position reports to and is evaluated by the Pastor.

Therefore, the employee in this position is closely connected to and assists the Pastor in the performance of his ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the Church.
