Job Duties: The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and successful execution of all assigned utility and plant construction projects. This role oversees day-to-day project operations, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and communication, managing projects from preconstruction through completion with the support of an experienced project team. Supervisory Responsibilities Lead and oversee a team of supervisors and analysts to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to specification. Assign and delegate work based on team members' expertise, experience, and project timelines. Duties and Responsibilities Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, safety, and quality. Lead cross-functional, interdepartmental project teams to meet schedule and performance objectives. Define project tasks, scopes, and deliverables delegate responsibilities accordingly. Prepare detailed cost estimates and perform comprehensive cost analyses. Develop, manage, and control project budgets based on approved estimates. Conduct risk assessments communicate risks to management and recommend mitigation strategies. Address project-related questions, concerns, and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and resolve issues using RFI and Change Order processes. Coordinate manpower and equipment needs in collaboration with project superintendents. Monitor project schedules and implement solutions to maintain contract completion dates. Validate contract scopes of work and ensure alignment with project execution. Assist with project estimating during periods of high bid volume. Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings. Support project superintendents with material procurement as needed. Serve as a liaison between the company, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide technical input, training, and project information. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, contractual, and company regulations, standards, and best practices. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Required Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, customer service, and leadership abilities. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively. Solid understanding of project management principles and construction processes. Working knowledge of Critical Path Method CPM scheduling using MS Project. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related project management software. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required. Minimum of three 3 years of experience in commercial plumbing, wet utilities, or related construction fields. Estimating experience preferred, including use of construction estimating software e.g., Clearview / Viewpoint. Project management certifications PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or equivalent highly desirable. Bilingual skills are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to walk and traverse uneven terrain on construction sites. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
