Bookkeeper Position

We're searching for an experienced bookkeeper to oversee all financial aspects of our busy Real Estate company. We're looking for someone who is very organized, has great time management skills, and is an accounting software wizard. The successful applicant will have 5 years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper in the construction industry, a problem-solving attitude, and great communication skills. Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely data entry of all financial transactions into accounting systems
• Maintain and update financial records, including contracts, budgets, tax reports, and financial statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, checks, and payroll
• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare detailed financial reports and assist in forecasting budgets, costs, and project timelines
• Reconcile real estate commissions accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

• 1 to 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• High level of professionalism
• Willing and able to embrace new technology, master it, and teach it to others
• Strong computer/tech skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Self-starter who is willing to take charge with little supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detailed oriented
• Positive, can-do attitude
• 5 years of experience in accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience in the construction industry
• A high school diploma is required - an associate's degree in accounting, or business, or related field is preferred
• Exceptional organization, analytical, problem solving, and communications skills are important
• Well-versed with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks
• Knowledge of construction accounting concepts, tax strategies, and best practices
