About the Role The Instrument & Controls Technician is responsible for installation and testing of instrumentation and electrical controls systems. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and user manuals. Responsibilities Read and interpret electrical schematics, project drawings, and user manuals Mount and install instruments such as pressure, flow, and level transmitters Perform point-to-point wiring and cable routing between remote instruments and control panels Label wires, components, and panels per project specifications and UL guidelines Conduct quality checks and testing (continuity, point-to-point verification, etc.) Communicate with supervisors about project challenges Adhere to company standards for craftsmanship and timeliness Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with safety standards Identify and communicate discrepancies in drawings or materials Assist with panel modifications, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed both in house and off-site projects sites Ensure all work meets UL, NEC, and company safety standards Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred Knowledge of basic electrical theory and safe work practices Experience using hand and power tools for panel assembly and wiring Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Basic computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel Required Skills Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and one-line diagrams Familiarity with industrial components (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor starters, etc.) Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of control systems Ability to climb up to 60' and work in man lifts Preferred Skills Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Manual dexterity for detailed wiring work Pay range and compensation package Potential Quarterly Bonuses based on self-performance Take home company vehicle Paid travel time to and from jobsite Company pays for hotel and food via company credit card Travel stipend per night stayed when working out of town Paid Weekly Direct Deposit Benefits Paid holidays (Christmas – 2 Days, New Years – 2 Days, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving – 2 Days) 5 days paid vacation after six months and then more time will accrue from there. $100 monthly employer contribution toward Aflac plans Paid Health Insurance: All of employees monthly cost for health insurance, vision and dental covered by employer.
