Job Description Job Description Killeen Independent School District | District WideFull-Time | Non-ExemptStarting at $14.74/hourMake a Meaningful Difference—One Student at a TimeKilleen ISD is seeking compassionate and dependable Physical Needs Aide II professionals to provide one-on-one support for students receiving special education services.This role is ideal for someone who is patient, physically capable, and passionate about helping students access learning through individualized academic, behavioral, and physical support.In this role, you'll help students safely navigate the school day while working closely with teachers, therapists, and campus staff.What You'll Do:Provide one-on-one support for students throughout the school dayReinforce classroom instruction and teacher-led learning activitiesSupport implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and student support plansAssist students with mobility, positioning, transfers, and physical safetySupport use of wheelchairs, adaptive equipment, and assistive devicesAssist with personal care needs such as feeding, toileting, hygiene, dressing, and mobility supportSupport participation in classroom activities, transitions, drills, assemblies, recess, and field tripsAssist with therapeutic activities under staff guidance when neededMaintain required documentation and communication with campus staffHelp maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environmentAttend required training and meetingsPerform additional duties as assignedWhat You Bring:To be considered, candidates must meet KISD Educational Aide II eligibility requirements.Required Qualifications:Candidates must meet ONE of the following Title I eligibility requirements (applies to most KISD campuses):48 completed college credit hoursCompletion of Region 12 or Region 13 Paraprofessional AcademyTitle I Aide certification/testing from KISD or another Texas districtAND meet ONE of the following Educational Aide II qualifications:Two years of experience working with childrenOR15 college credit hours, including at least one course in: Child DevelopmentPsychologySociologyEducationAdditional requirements:Upload proof of highest level of education (transcript or certification documentation)Ability to safely support students with physical assistance needsComfort in a highly active, hands-on support rolePhysical Requirements:This role requires:Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and liftingAssisting with transfers, mobility support, and physical student assistanceAbility to safely support students and equipment throughout the school dayIndoor and occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditionsWhy Killeen ISD?Meaningful student-centered workSchool-year schedule with summers off from active workPaid over 12 monthsSupportive special education team environmentOngoing training and professional developmentOpportunity to make a direct daily impact in a student's educational journeyEEOC Statement: We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
