Forklift OperatorAkima Facilities Operations is seeking a Forklift Operator to work in Fort Hood, TX. Come join this dynamic team and be part of this critical mission!ResponsibilitiesOperates a manually controlled gasoline, electric or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds within a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other establishment.May also perform operator level preventive maintenance checks and basic services to ensure continued operation of lift.QualificationsAbility to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.Ability to receive a favorable tier-1 investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.Desired Qualifications:Knowledgeable in U.S. Army logistics procedures.4+ years of experience in material handling and forklift operations.Valid driver's license.High school diploma / GED.Commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.Pay & Benefits:Hourly compensation: $20.97Hourly H&W fringe: $5.09Differential pay for night shift work will range from $1 up to 10% of base hourly rate.This position is contingent upon contract award and funding.
